A passer-by stares into the empty Pizza Express on Earl’s Court Road as workmen load the contents of the store onto a waiting removal lorry. This Kensington branch, along with a nearby one on the Fulham Palace Road, were two of the 73 pizzerias the restaurant chain said in August would close permanently.
